As a busy mom, I am always looking for a way to get more done in less time. When I have the 5 year old and the baby in tow, I don’t want to go store hoppin, I need a place that has it all. Ollie’s to the rescue! But wait, there isn’t one around here right? It’s your lucky day, this past Wednesday the McKeesport store had its Grand Opening and yours truly was there.

From the moment I walked into the store I was in awe, the store was packed with so many items and at great prices. They had everything you could need like food, clothes, paint and tools. Since it was the grand opening people where everywhere. They must have gotten the memo 🙂

I was asked to come check out the store and was given $100 gift card to shop (pretty sweet right?) I gotta admit I didn’t know what $100 would get me, but one thing was for sure, I didn’t want or need more stuff to fill my house. So I headed straight for the necessities and the husband went for the tools. Funny how that works lol.

The first thing that caught my eye was the huge selection of books. So many cheap books to choose from.

A Teachers Dream

Then, I hit up the bath section, this is my weakness. If I find body wash, deodorant and shampoo cheap when I am out, I always buy it. Besides, it’s not like it expires or anything. I found a lot of goodies. $0.69 Soft Soap hand soap, $1.99 body wash, 3 big bottles of Gain Dish soap for 3.99 … JACKPOT! I left a few for other people I swear.

$0.69 soft soap hand soap is a steal

As I moved around the store, I found more stuff I could use. Kitchen utensils, storage bags, and so much more. The 5 year old of course found the toy aisle. He just HAD TO HAVE A TOY! We settled on a crayola paint maker, at least he can use that when summer hits and we do our art projects.

He is such a ham

After about 30 minutes the baby got hungry so I found a place to sit down. Yes that was me, sitting on a stack of rubber mats feeding a child, don’t judge me he is too heavy to carry while feeding. I grow big babies. 🙂

Dinner time!

Baby is fed so lets get back to it. I found my husband in the paint section. He looks at me and says, “Hun! They have automotive paint.” It was like Christmas morning he was so happy.

We spent 2 hours in the store total but I didn’t look at every aisle. The lines were long but went fast. The associates were doing a great job keeping the lines moving. The manager said that earlier in the day, the lines were all the way to the back of the store. WOW!

$100 of goodies

This is what $100 got us. I must say I am very pleased. For more information about other locations and store hours click here.
